The Lockdown Experience Series: Penpal Night
You’re invited… to the Good Intentions Pen Pal Experience!
Anyone else going on what feels like an eternity without seeing their closest friends?
It can be extremely disheartening and also exhausting trying to think of things to talk about when we’re all essentially doing the same thing. it’s like a constant reminder that we can’t leave the house. womp womp.
Our solution?…
Turn mundane activities into things you can look forward to! That text update you were going to send your sister? Delete it.
We’re SNAIL MAILIN’.
We’ve put together a list of prompts + steps to create the perfect pen-pal experience to get you through the remaining weeks of lockdown. This way, you and literally whoever else you want can have something to look forward to. Nothing like receiving surprise mail, right? 🤩➡️
Step one:
Figure out who your pen pal is, and what you want to tell them! I have selected my friend Rhiannon.
Don’t know what to write about? Here’s a list of penpal prompts to get you started!
Step two:
Pick out the perfect card to send to your pen pal. We have a great selection of greeting cards to choose from!
My friend Rhiannon is graduating soon, so of course I had to pick something fitting for this occasion. I chose the ‘Praise the Lord and pass the diplomas’* collage greeting card by Toronto artist Flanzella. My second choice would’ve been the ‘Best Teacher’ card by Cole Yoni Co. (😂) but this is a SPECIAL OCCASION— all seriousness here.
Step three:
Write a thoughtful message to your pen pal. If you’re feeling extra fun, include a small treasure to surprise your pen pal with!
I’ve decided to include a small graduation cap pendant necklace for Rhiannon because she is such a smarty pants. I created this using the Maple Lane Custom Jewelry Bar! You can shop this by checking out our highlight on Instagram + DMing us, or read ahead + use the button below to fill out an order form!
